Long Beach Clothing Co. Supports the LGBTQ Community

After a two-year hiatus, Long Beach Pride Parade & Festival is back! The Long Beach Pride organization will be celebrating its 39th annual Pride festival here in Long Beach, CA from Friday, July 8th through Sunday, July 10th, 2022. Headliners for the festival include Grammy nominated Iggy Azalea, Natalia Jimenez, and Paulina Rubio, along with guest appearances from local urban and Latin acts such as YoYo, Amor Prohibido Band, and Gia Banks.
The city of Long Beach is home to one of the biggest and longest running pride celebrations in the country. Long Beach began its official Pride celebration in 1984 in order to honor the anniversary of the infamous Stonewall Riots of 1969. This local celebration has now grown into the third largest Pride festival and parade in California.
LGBTQ+ pride is an important part of Long Beach culture due to the impact that the community has made on this diverse city. Robert Garcia, the current mayor of Long Beach and first openly gay mayor, considers himself to be a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community.

The city of Long Beach continues to set the standard for LGBTQ+ rights and Pride-themed festivities. Pride festivals have become a mainstay of modern American life and their celebrations will surely continue to grow in the future. Long Beach Clothing Co. fully supports the LGBTQ+ community here in Long Beach and across the globe. In celebration of the 2022 Long Beach Pride event, our store is currently offering exclusive pride-themed hats, stickers, and buttons. These limited edition items are currently in stock at our Atlantic storefront location and online at Longbeachclothing.com.
